Knock the Cover Off This Town

Old Crow Medicine Show - Caroline. I don't know much about the Old Crow Medicine Show, except that I saw their video the other day. It's old school country/bluegrass style that I find quite appealing. This is an unreleased track. Right now their big single is Wagon Wheel off of the O.C.M.S. album on EMI. You can buy it from their website for a good price. They're actually playing a show with the Prairie Home Companion in my hometown of Gilford, NH on June 5. They'll be at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA on Tuesday. Check 'em out. I bet the show is excellent.

Blair and I were talking about this, but Lenny Kravitz has a cool website despite him being a total fucking douche. Check out his egomaniacal video for "why are we running" or whatever. It's sicking in its rockstar shamelessness.

I remember reading this little item from a few years ago, when Kravitz and Bowie were both performing on the same MTV or VH1 awards show. It was about their pre-show routines. Bowie's was to have a cup of hot tea to loosen up his vocal chords. Lenny's was to lounge in a portable jacuzzi for an hour with a couple of girls, drinking champagne .

He's always been more about being a TV-ready "rock star" than an actual artist...
