wget tip

Jeffrey Veen has a nice technical tip for automatically grabbing all the linked files off Mp3 blogs that robots might find useful. i think his wget hack could be a nice addition to reading these sites, but please don't use it as a replacement. just like playboy, you should read this site (and our peers) for the articles.

can't have a post without music... so here's Moonshield (C64 Karaoke Version) by In Flames. now, In Flames is a death metal band, but don't run away just yet. this track is a fun little b-side on the Trigger EP (purchase it here) and it isn't even remotely death metal. no vocals, no guitars. instead, imagine if there were a Dr. Who video game and it had a soundtrack. be warned though that the rest of their music has much more guitars and growly vocals, so caveat emptor.

wow. that's beautiful. did they really sequence it on a C64?

They might have used the Sidstation.

Did you know that basically every song ever written for the C64 is available to DL? You can even play them in Winamp with Sidamp.

there's a old school game music streaming station, as well.
