poetry (for robots)

Nicole Blackman - Lost. this one's not music. just a poem being read by the brilliant and talented Ms Blackman, a poet, author, and spoken word artist. she's collaborated with KMFDM (the song "Dogma" off XTORT), Recoil (a couple tracks on the album Liquid), and the Golden Palominos (she did the vocals for every track on Dead Inside).

"Lost" is one of her lighter poems. many of them deal with dark and emotional subject matter and can actually be difficult to read because of the sheer visceral reactions they can create. her poems appear in a number of anthologies, but i mostly recommend picking up a copy of Blood Sugar along with the aforementioned albums.
