"At A Loss" by the Presets -- the Presets are a twosome from Sydney, Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes - the band started as a home-studio project, and have turned out a nice EP called Blow Up on modular records. i picked this song from it because its kind of mellow, but still has the funky, quirky electro-rock sound found on the rest of the EP. note the slippery/slinky bassline that rolls through the song, and nice synths that float over the top near the end of the song - buy it here.

"Lasergum" by Mouse on Mars -- you surely know Mouse on Mars, the amazing German duo who's twisted, complex and funny take on techno and downtempo electronics has been greatly appreciated for over a decade now. this particular song comes from a rather random compilation from the mid-late-90s called The Sound of (R)Evolution (i say random because it has MOM, Roni Size, Speedy J, Luke Slater, and Nicolette among others). however, MOM has a new CD, called Radical Connector (i think Flux posted the lead single, "Wipe That Sound," a month or so ago), but my personal favorites are Vulvaland and Autoitacker - do yourself a serious favor and buy them here.
