Look into the eyeball of your boyfriend

David Byrne

The first time I got into David Byrne's solo material was when I heard Like Humans Do on the radio a few years ago. I liked it immediately: it bounces, it's ridiculously catchy, it's funny. So I checked out the whole album, Look Into the Eyeball, and found that the whole thing was damn good. There are some great string arrangements, some by Thom Bell, who wrote and arranged some string parts for Philly soul groups like the O'Jays and the Stylistics. The other great song on the album is The Great Intoxication, which I just adore. You should buy Look Into the Eyeball here.

And then there's "The Accident." I love it, but damn do those strings ever get stuck in my head sometimes.

My pick off this album is "Everyone's In Love With You."

David Byrne solo is just as good as he was with the Talking Heads. Thanks for the post.
