Everywhere I look, you are

Sam Bisbee is a New York-based singer/songwriter who has two albums under his belt: High and Vehicle. I'm gonna be honest with you: I like any band that jumps up and down. When I saw Blur a few years ago, I was smitten by the fact that Damon Albarn, when faced by a random beach ball thrown on the stage, did what any self-respecting musician would do. He bounced along with the beach ball. This did much to numben the fact that Blur was in their American grunge phase and hadn't sang about cups of tea for months. But I digress. In the video for his catchy, catchy song Miracle Car, Sam Bisbee's band jumps up and down across New York City. They gallop down busy streets, sing and giggle on subway cars, and even hang out with Rachel Dratch. (It's true! Watch the video here.) "Miracle Car" comes from Vehicle (buy here), and will be in your head for days. Bisbee's got a clear hold on songwriting, and his voice reminds me a little of Paul Westerberg. Besides, with the lovely Leona Naess on backup vocals, how can you go wrong?
