more more Me Me! (is there an echo in here?)

Happy Saturday afternoon everyone!

"Give Me Your Love (Remix)" by Fun Fun -- I posted a Fun Fun song a while back, and since you people seemed down, I thought it would be worth going through my stacks o'wax for another round of 80s Italo fun. This is some great Italian-produced pop from the mid-80s: uptempo, great girl vocals, rediculous synths, and its all wrapped up in a lovely extended-disco mix package.

"Rock Me (Instrumental)" by Chip Chip -- Again with the double-named band, Chip Chip is more great super-produced, Hi-NRG dance-pop, but this cut is the instrumental version. Why you ask? Because the vocal mix of this song was just too much - you know what I mean, right? Some of this Italo stuff is amazing, but the vocalists are too loud, too high-pitched, just too much a lot of the time, and this was one of those cuts. However, the instrumental mix is good enough, with the funny bouncy synth-bass, and the rediculously over the top synth-horn sections. Gotta love it.

To get your hands on more of this kind of stuff, you can either keep checking in with us here, because I've got a whole shelf full of this stuff, or you can get your fix here: Italo Dance Classics Box Set, or this huge series, Best Of Italo Disco.

See what happens at your next party when you throw some of these songs on your iTunes party shuffle... I can almost guarantee you'll witness some serious dancefloor mayhem.
