the epoxiesThe Epoxies -- Need More Time

thanks to jwz, i now have a mild obsession with the Epoxies.

yeah, they're a pretty blatant Devo rip-off, but damn their songs are catchy. and really, i think there's room in the world for at least a couple Devo rip-offs if they're as good as the Epoxies.

also check out the videos for Stop Looking at Me and Need More Time.

buy their album at insound.

Yay Epoxies! They're also really really fun to see live, so do it if you can. They need a new album soon, though. I want more!

This track sounds like a revved up combination of Gary Numan, Adam Ant and Kim Carnes. Me likey.

I second the "Epoxies are really fun live" sentiment! I saw them last winter, and it was definitely one of the sweatiest, most energetic new wave shows I've ever been to.

The Epoxies are one of the groups featured on Rock Against Bush, Volume 1, which is where I first them. It's a great compilation album at a cheap price, whatever your politics.

I heard a Flock of Seagulls riff in 'Stop looking at me'. Awesome!
