Michael Jackson Will Sue Us All

The Beastles
The Beastles - Tripper Trouble. This shit is all over the place already, and mash up albums are a dime a dozen. However, this Beastles shit is actually pretty inspired. Not as walled-in as the Grey Album, and not as goofy as a Slack Album, this is open to all beasties albums and all beatles albums.

This track is easily the highlight. It blows the fucking doors off of the original mix and goes beyond pure novelty. The Root Down Reprise is a little silly, and somehow gets this "four on the floor" fatboy-slim type of thing going on, which is kind of a surprise. As one would figure, Sure-Bla-Di Shot-Bla-Da is pretty hokey. You can put a dress on a pig, but it's still a pig.

later on.

Comments

Well that's absolutely ridiculous. And totally awesome. I agree that the rest of the tracks are unremarkable, especially the one with "I Feel Fine", which is just sloppy because one swings a little and the other doesn't.
But yeah. I still can't resist mash-ups.

This stuff is well done, but it seems like dude noticed that the Grey Album blew Danger Mouse up and is trying to Get Famous, the Negativland Way!

I feel compelled to mention that dude did a lot of generic drum work on this. One of the things that was notable about "The Grey Album" is that it was entirely comprised of samples from The White Album. It's a lot easier to just sample a few loops, add some drums and be done with it, imo..

Not bad, the tune of the posted song made me laugh. :) But I think that Darwin maybe has a point there, but as it's music, and I like it, I don't really care. (To put it bluntly. :)

I'm sucker for mash-ups in general, and I agree that this isn't as complex as the Grey Album, but it's cute. I dug "Mad World Forever" b/c I like the Beasties' sentiment but the original track was obviously slapped together pretty quick. The "Strawberry Fields" mix makes it feel a little more poignant.

Download Yoshimi Battles Snoop Dogg- Snoop Dogg vs The Flaming Lips vs DJ BC 3.76 MB if you haven't already because it sounds nice (to me) too.

Best Beastie Boys mashup I've heard is still the first BBoys track off the Kleptones "Night at the Hip Hop Opera"
