Muchos gracias, adios, bye bye

Apologies first: this entry, the mp3 for which comes courtesy my friend Sam, will probably only appeal to those of you who are fans of BBC's The Office. If you're not a fan, or if you need a reminder, boss from hell David Brent sang this song at the end of a disastrous office workshop in the series' first season. He explained that he was once in a band, and when no one believed him, he got his guitar and started singing the awful Springsteen rip-off "Free Love Freeway". Ricky Gervais, who played Brent, collaborated with Oasis' Noel Gallagher to record a version that sounds ... well, rather professional, which makes the whole song just sound that much funnier.

Free Love Freeway

It's apparently an extra on the Office Christmas Special DVD, which you can buy here.

Though I love the Office, I was suspicious of the suggestion that it was necessary to own the Christmas Special dvd in addition to both seasons.

I was wrong.

I think that the christmas special was a very nice ending to a great series. Hopefully Ricky and Stephen will produce an American verison of the office, so us yanks can enjoy it too!
