great face for radio
so music.for-robots just had its television debut. oddly and wonderfully enough, from Sway on MTV's TRL. who woulda thunkit.
however, this isn't because we're smart or funny or because we robots pee oil and eat shrapnel, but because MTV took notice of the Oliver Ignatius track I posted some months ago, and MTV news wanted to do a You Hear It First piece on it:
[MP3] Oliver Ignatius - Mostly Untitled
since then, Oliver has grown beyond his solo work to focus wholeheartedly on his band, the Hysterics (click for their Cornerband page), which features two former Saint Ann's students and another current student (and who contributed instrumentals on his solo work). they're in the process of recording right now this minute, and their early tracks are equally amazing. here's one of the songs featured in the MTV piece:
[MP3] The Hysterics - Uptight Staircase
so that's it. MP3 blogs are on the tele-box now. and with a great deal of brilliance from Oliver, Charlie and the band, and a whole bunch of nerdy looking footage of me. that's how this MP3 blog thing breaks down though - you artists and indie labels are brilliant, and we're the nerds here to give your music a well-deserved boost.
