"Thank Me With Your Hands (Remix)" by Panthers -- Wow, thank you Vice Records for still being awesome!

Panthers are an awesome Brooklyn-based band who make loud-ass politically-tinged noise, not-exactly-punk rock music - their most recent album, Things Are Strange was released by Vice this last summer, and you can listen to it on the Vice Recordings homepage.

Anywho, this hot-ass dance-remix is by MSTRKRFT, a new remix team made up of Jesse Keeler from Death From Above 1979 (who are undeniably totally awesome - their album, You're a Woman, I'm a Machine kicks serious ass, and you can also listen to it on the Vice Rec's site) and Al-P from girlsareshort (who I don't know as much about, but they seem to be pretty bonkers - you can download a couple tracks off their album earlynorthamerican on their UpperClass Recordings page).

Their remix of “Thank Me..." is pretty much how you'd imagine these three bands coming together would sound - hard/joycorehouseawesomeness - according to the Vice Rec's press-info on the track, it "will make you shake your ass so hard it’s virtually pornographic." - Basically, yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

So, go buy Things Are Strange, You're a Woman... and/or earlynorthamerican, from Insound - I know for sure that the first two are worth owning, especially DFA79 (holy crap!), and from what I can tell, girlsareshort seem awesome.

Rock on with yo bad self...

Interesting to know that DFA '79 and girlsareshort have started collaborating! The connection may've taken place when girlsareshort remixed DFA '79's "Romantic Rights." A remix worth tracking down, if you don't have it already.... :D

Well, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that Al-P produced the DFA79 album.

Personally, I think that girlsareshort were a pretty awesome group but they broke up now and Al-P is starting some solo stuff under "Horny Emotion."

Panthers are alright (and always better live than on record), but you REALLY need to check out Orchid. The drummer from Panthers (and maybe some other members) used to be in Orchid, and it's some of the best politico-socio-noise-punk stuff you'll ever listen to.

blair girlsareshort are worth the purchase! its like the happiest electronic pop breaks i've ever heard. their label mates the cansecos are worth checking out too, more rock-oriented, sometimes the songs sound like the faint could've made them, but at the same time not!
