The Snow Fairies - The Place Where I Like to Read
The Snow Fairies - First Sad Song

This is normally not my sort of thing. Maybe I just felt compelled to get this out before Matthew snapped it up, who of all bloggers seems to hold court on all twee-pop. But I have to admit to rocking out to Marine Research once in a while and if Little Darla has a treat for me I can’t very well turn her down.
The Snow Fairies based in Philadelphia have recently completed recording for their second full-length album due out once the studio cuts are remixed. Currently shopping around for a label to distribute the record and a new drummer, the band otherwise does play fairly regularly.
The first track, a swelling jangly bit of indie pop, came off their debut full-length ‘Feel You Up’, acclaimed by the City Paper of Philadelphia as one of the top local CDs of 2003. Second, is an as yet unreleased demo for the new album. There are a few more tracks for download on their website here, both from the first LP.
If the Snow Fairies made stickers I’d put one on my Trapper Keeper.
