Med - Hold

Med - Hold (Instrumental)

why am I such a sucker for old-school throwback tracks? Missy's Back in the Day, J5 tracks, you name it and it makes me happy. so this one was an easy pick - Medaphor rapping over Madlib beats? damn.

this track comes on what could be a Jaylib 12" - two tracks from the LP, production by Jay Dee on one side and Madlib on the other with Med on both sides of the same disc! if you want, you can listen to the Jay Dee (a.k.a. J Dilla) produced track, Push, on the Stones Throw website, but I picked this one for the incredibly tight production, feel-good vibe, and short and sweet experience. I dig the instrumental so much I've included it in the post (see above), so grab it and mash it up!

Med(aphor)'s LP, Push Comes To Shove comes out May 31 on Stones Throw Records, and you'll be able to [buy it from the friendly folks a the Giant Peach Stones Throw store].

Comments

Instrumental is good, but i think the Chorus is annoying and his rapping isn't anything amazing. Med's good, but not amazing.
