we're not zero!

well it's happened! believe it or not (we don't), music.for-robots has been up and on the internerd for a whole year, as of today. which makes this our first birthday! neat! where's the tricycle we asked for?
it's been a pretty incredible year, starting off as one of a handful of MP3 blogs and ending up in the middle of a vibrant community with an ever-increasing presence. I mean, Wired, SPIN, Rolling Stone, the NY Times (twice!), the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Guardian, MTV, the Fresno Bee, The Irish Times and on and on...
we here at the robots are constantly wowed and humbled by the attention and love people have shown us. from the individuals, bands and labels who have provided us with the awesome music we've brought you to the incredible artists who gave us our incredible shirt designs and website re-design, to the clubs and venues working with us to help promote the music we love in the real world... and most of all, to you, our readers, without whom we'd be nothing at all.
2005 has been an uber-dope year for music so far, and we here at MFR are working to do our part. things to look for in the future: more live MFR events (the APT and Lyrics Born MFR nights were insane!), new shirts, tons of new artists and the great music you've come to expect from the site...
...and a special surprise. for those of you in/near NYC, take your calendars and put a big, red, stinking X through Thursday, May 26th. details to follow soon...
