Music A.M. - Don't Keep Me Waiting So Long

IDM and emo/indie are still flirting with each other, but emo being all emo, they're still too shy to get together and constantly produce babies. so emo goes and writes songs about it in the local coffee shop, and IDM comes back and finds them under the doormat, and when they read them they play in the background like a movie.

such is Music A.M.. they released their first LP A Heart and Two Stars last year, and now have followed up with an EP, My City Glittered Like a Breaking Wave, featuring songs recorded during the studio sessions for the LP, given a thorough reworking at their studio in Dusseldorf [buy them online]. if you dig on Her Space Holiday, Dntel, and other IDM spotlighters or indie-daters, this is probably up your alley. it's got that warm, slowly enveloping feeling that the best in the genre does, like falling asleep in a bathtub that's slowly filling with warm water.
