Simian Mobile Disco is James and Jas, a pair of musical lunatics from East London that remix like champs and produce their own cuts that sound like hot, sexy electro house performed by filthy, rotten monkeys. This new mixtape of their's is basically off the hook, with some hot current sounds, some hot classic sounds, and some of their new songs thrown in the mix too. Its fast and furious, and makes me want to get down. Which leads me to...

The best news, besides the fact that they swear they're working on their new album and it will be out in early 2006, is that they're coming over from the UK for a few dates this week:

rockin. you chaps should also check out (if you haven't already) the amazing Simian Vs. Justice track "Never Be Alone", it was a huge dancefloor smash (well, with the indie contingent) about 2 years ago in Blighty....

I've been a fan of Simian, liked SMD and the Simon Lord side-project "Garden"...

Haven't listened to the mix yet (my computer speakers are blown), but Who Made Who released a "Satisfaction" cover (b/w another cover, of Mr Oizo's "Flat Beat") on Gomma- you can listen to a clip on the itunes store and see if it matches up.

This was a hell of a lot of fun to listen to, and the payoff of Willy Wonka at the end was totally cool. This was better than an official mixtape I downloaded off Itunes the same day for free...it was worth the four hour download. Thanks!
