Seems So Bright - Bitter From the Start

MFR Vol. 1 alumnus Seems So Bright has been working in the studio, and this little gem leaked out, part of an upcoming EP they're going to be releasing (to follow their Resistance EP, which also can be [purchased via iTunes]).

Seems So Bright has upheld a high standard for production on all their releases, and their studio efforts are geared towards trying to re-create their live shows (which are amazing) as fully as possible in their recordings. on this release, their sound remains as fulfilling as ever; melodic guitar chords driving the heartfelt lyrics from singer Michael Simone with an Interpol-like cadence and intensity (though the similarities end there - no Carlos D egos, cryptic lyrics or creepy puppets here). the sound is rich, fully immersive, and satisfies that deep-down hankering in all our inner indie children for solid rock songs that simply sound beautiful.

the upcoming EP will be available shortly, and you can ask the lads all about it at their next live show in nyc @ Rothko - wed, Aug. 31st, 9pm w / Blackpool Lights (The new band from Jim Suptic of the Get Up Kids).
