Does She Have A Girlfriend
Holy mother of all basslines. Hot damn. Take the sweet melodies of the late 70s and fuse them with the cowbell fanaticism of the DFA crew and you've got an approximation of what Who Made Who are up to on their debut full length. This track should easily pick up anyone's spirits. It's impossible not to at least bob your head with that bassline. It's ridiculous. Ridiculous!
Everyone take a second and bob your head.
Werd. Now we're in business. Ok, now, relax a bit-- otherwise that cowbell's gonna whip you into a frenzy and that's not really cool to do when you're at work. Thanks. Ok, so, basically, these three geniuses here have made themselves one fine album. The Loop single released earlier showed promise, but this was easily the standout track. But the full-length is wall-to-wall awesome. I highly recommend it. Everyone needs to hop on over to their local retailer (importer?) and pick up a wax copy. It's necessary.
Since it's cold just about everywhere ('cept for you kids in the southern hemisphere... we haven't forgot about you!), we all need a tune like to this to light some fires and keep our asses warm. So stick it out. Throw it on. Buzzword, blah blah blah. I don't know. I could give you the history lesson but I'm too busy dancing.
later.
You can buy the new record from iTunes . You can also pick up a hard copy at Amazon. If someone finds an online retailer with vinyl copies, let me know. I couldn't get the Gomma store to work.
