Seems So Bright - Once Moved

MFR Vol. 1 alumnus and BK favorites Seems So Bright are back in the studio, adding to their growing library of beatiful rock tunes. This track in particular caught my attention, for the charge it makes into a darker side of the band, leading off with the pounding of the war drums, and layering on slab upon slab of melodic noise. the whole song drags you along as it builds towards an intense crescendo at it's finale, but in all it's spooky gloom retains all of the sweet charm that you hear in SSB's other songs. I like that they've painted the entire spectrum now, from the sheer pop delight of Numbers (the track on MFR Vol. 1) to this and everything in between.

Their live performances still trump anything you'll hear via MP3 or CD, and you should make it a point to check them out if you're around NYC. You learn more at their site or on their myspace page.
