To Everything, Transform
So, while Blair is away, sunning his buns with his new wife on a tropical island, I thought I'd fill in the dance gap. Granted, for many of you (especially the Europeans), this song already has some whiskers on it. But I figure, the majority still haven't heard it, and it's getting a proper US release this week (try tomorrow, kids!). So why not, right?
Anyway, we've been on the Justice tip for a minute, but I think this might be the first time we've actually posted them. I know that I listened the shit out of their remix of Daft Punk's "Human After All" last fall, and loved their DFA 1979 remix as well. But this is their own material, which is great to see. I'm excited about -- it's French after all and we've got a soft spot for the frenchies when it comes to the dance music. What's not to love.
At any rate this has everything you need: thick thick thick beats, splashy hi hat hits, and grooves for days. It's basically ridiculous. It's got a metal edge to it somehow that I can't quite put my finger on. But what's to say really that Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay haven't said themselves with drum hits and organ lines? Just listen to, and get crazy. I'm sure it's only a matter of seconds before Vice licenses this to be used in a car commercial, and I'm fine with that.
So, on the 17th, this little 3 song EP is going to be available at all your fine online retailers. That means you, iTunes! It comes highly recommended.
