Test IciclesTest Icicles - What's Your Damage [Alan Braxe & Fred Falke remix]

When I was little, my dad used to play records by Vangelis and Manheim Steamroller and other such new age electronic synthesizer artists. I don't remember how I felt about it at the time (I was probably ambivelant and/or hated it), but it's totally wired into my brain now and I can't escape liking it. So when this remix was slipped under my door I fell in love instantly. It's not entirely like Vangelis -- it's obviously more dance oriented than that -- but that's who I think of. So sue me for being a lazy critic.

It seems to me that these Test Icicles kids hate themselves. They're myspace friends with us so I read all the bulletins they send out. I have no idea if they write them or not, but it's always pretty funny/sad. I don't know. It looks like they're having trouble coming to terms with their pending success. At any rate, I don't know if this remix is commercially available. My guess is not. But, you can always buy the Test Icicles record when it comes out tomorrow. It'll be everywhere.

That synth sound is totally "Chariots of Fire."

Thanks, i've been looking forward to this, but to be honest it could do without the Testicles shouting over the top..

JK -- I agree entirely. I tried to find an instrumental of this, but haven't tracked it down yet.

what do the testies say on their myspace messages?

test icicles myspace messages have been depressing as hell for the past year. especially the ones written by dev - possibly the most hypochondriacal melancholic in the music industry.

I just did one quick search: Yes, the mix is commercially available, through DJdownload.com at the very least.

This is sick. Alan Braxe and Fred Falke are the truth.

just to answer your query...dev from the band is a total internet freak. we have just been on tour with them round the uk....as soon as he sound checks he goes and finds wireless internet and just surfs myspace all day. anbd writes about a thousand notes. So yeah, they check the website every day.

try and check them out on the us tour....before they collapse from exhaustion. 6 days off till march..oof.
