We Must Get the Energon Cubes

TransformersTransformers di Roboters - Hi End [Metro B and Maslopè remix].

Well fuck me that's a bassline. I think it's an oxymoron to call this "Hi End" with so much sick bass going on. I wish I could speak more intelligently about music like this, but the words fail me. I just know that it's got a nasty beat, there's some hook spoken in German, and there's a rattling bass/guitar riff that's just what the doctor ordered. It's also nice and long, fading out at just under 7 minutes. I could listen to it all day.

I'm not super familiar with Metroheadmusic, but theyr'e a record label and a dj team from Hamburg, Germany. This comes from their first 12" release, which is really promising. They've also got a compilation coming out this year that will also include this track. Now, these might be difficult to track down in the US, since they only have distribution in Spain and Germany. But that's what the internet is for. It's always great to see new electronic labels starting up with something interesting, and I'm pysched these guys reached out to us. Normally, I would leave posts like this to Blair, since he's the expert and DJ, but until he gets back from sunning his ass in the tropics, I'll be holding down the fort.

You can pick up any metrohead releases at their site using paypal. Recommended.

[update]. My friend James F!@#$% Friedman points out that this song is very similar to the song "Fast Track" on the album Super Disount 2 by Etienne de Crecy and Alex Gopher. He is correct. So Take a listen and let me know what you think.

Super Discount - Fast Track.

You can find the excellent album from 2004 at Amazon.com.

fast track, of course!

Yeah, those are similar enough basslines, but certainly not the same. And "Fast Car" is definitely a better tune (though I'll admit to liking the Vocal version waaaay better).

I'll have to keep an eye out for these Hamburgers...they had my interest piqued, but just not quite enough ooomph.

That "Hi End" has me dancing around the room like an idiot. A big fucking idiot.

that is rather odd. the tow songs are strangely similar. in terms of the choice of sound / production arrangement tricks etc.

although the bass lines are slightly different.
