Me-yow!

kitty cuts!

Spyritual - Silence (Katja Remix)

Berlin's Kitty-Yo, one of my favorite (mostly) electronic labels, has been known to release some really fantastic music. Ranging from the gorgeous vocal-techno of Richard Davis, to the twisted electro-punk of Jahcoozi, to the gorgeous modern jazz stylings of these guys, Spyritual. I posted a song by them last September, and here they are again but in a very different form.

This track comes from the recent compilation/mix-CD Cuts & Pieces, which collects reworks of the new dancefloor-oriented sub-label started last year by Kitty-Yo called Kitty-Cuts.

The mix was put together by Harry Axt and Jan Driver, and features tracks previously available as vinyl-only by Modeselektor, Codec & Flexor, Jahcoozi, Gold Chains & Sue Cie, Phon.O, Sex In Dallas, Raz Ohara, Rhythm King and her Friends, and Ed Laliq - pretty much all of the tracks are remixes, all done by other Kitty-Cuts/Kitty-Yo artists, and its a really solid listen throughout - highly recommended for all you dance track fans. (BTW this is the last track on the CD, an unlisted bonus cut for you - zing!)

You can buy the record direct from the label, here, or from our friends at Forced Exposure. Well worth it.
