[a]pendics shuffle - Believe Me You

Here's a slice of deep, brain crunching techno courtesey of [a]pendics shufffle, real name Kenneth James Gibson, who also releases work under the aliases Bal Cath, Dubloner, Eight Frozen Modules, Premature Wig, and Reverse Commuter.

This track appears on the new Mitek compilation Do You Copy?, which celebrates the label's 5th anniversary. The Swedish label is reknowned for the breadth of their catalog, and is all about promoting and releasing work by new Scandinavian artists ranging from experimental electronics to microhouse.

Do You Copy? is a double-CD, with 27 artists represented and 28 tracks in length - the first disc is more ambient and atmospheric, the second more track-y and club-oriented - almost every one of the songs on the double-CD are reworks of previous Mitek releases - as in, each artist deconstructed older songs, taking small elements from them (basslines, synth chirps, etc.), then used them as the groundwork for these new songs, which is pretty damn cool.

The compilation is available from our friends at Forecd Exposure (US), Boomkat (UK), direct from the Mitek webstore (Europe), and can be downloaded (for cheap!) from Klicktrack.

PS: I'm heading down to Miami today for some fun in the sun... I'm not DJing this time around, but maybe sometime soon. So, instead I'll probably be at Soho Lounge both tonight (SpiderPussy with JDH and Spankrock, among many others) and tomorrow (Panty Party in a bounce house + Avenue D + Princess Superstar + Arthur Baker = bonkers!) so swing by and party with us! (and yes, I know there's this other huge party at Pawn Shop that looks like a lot of fun too, but this one will be special and just as much fun if not more-so - think of that other party, but without pants! How could that not be fun?)
