The Streets: Day 3

famous

The Streets - When You Wasn't Famous video commentary (zipped Quicktime Movie)

So, here we are, mid-week and Mike Skinner is ready to offer up you some insight for you on "When You Wasn't Famous," which you heard from us on Monday. Over at Lemon-Red, you can hear some poetic-waxing on "Can't Con An Honest John."

I'm still waiting for more quality entries in my "the Streets" photo-contest, the winner of which gets a pair of passes for the Intonation Music Festival taking place this June in lovely Chicago-land. So get to it! You've only got till tomorrow night (or maybe, just maybe, Friday morning) to get your photos in for judging.

Happy hump-day!

Yo Tioga, did you not see the post where I mention that there'll be a post daily about this?

just curious but why did you agree to make your blog the latest corporate marketing frontier? if the content was interesting and self-directed that's one thing, but an entirely undisguised streets talk-fest where you just hawk memetic advertising for a week is not only boring but cred-destroying.
or not, just a perspective

re:
I think the Streets is an interesting guy, making interesting music, AND because its a chance for me give away passes for a really cool sounding concert.
What's the harm in that?

No harm in selling out. Just deal with the inevitable backlash.

WTF is with people and their irrational, hysterical, fear of "selling out"? "Oh, dear God, people want to make a living creating and/or promoting music!!! How awful!" Grow up.
