Up and up you go

I'm on vacation in Boston - my hometown, go Sox! - and it's exactly what I needed. We spent some time on the Cape this week, and now I'm hanging out in my old house, with my mom, and it's just perfect. You forget how tired you get until you stop moving, you know? Ugh.
Anyway, I was wondering how I'd keep up the Robots posts while I was away from my computer - which, incidentally, up and died right before we flew out of Minneapolis - but then came the new Bishop Allen tracks, posted on the band's site. I've written posts about these guys a million times now, and they have these monthly EPs, which will keep me busy for the rest of the year. This is all good news.
Bishop Allen -
Butterfly Nets and
Flight 180.
Butterfly Nets and Flight 180 are from their May and April EPs, respectively. I can't believe it's already been six months since January, which remains my favorite. (Check out Corazon, the band's tribute to their new piano.)
I guess my preference between these two tracks is Butterfly Nets, which is just a really pretty song. As with most tracks I post, I haven't even begun to decipher the lyrics, but as usual with Bishop Allen, they're evocative and original. It's nice to hear one of their female members take the mic for a change, too.
Buy April, May and all the other months from the Bishop Allen store.
