The Sea and the Gulls - Paper Planes

A little bit ago I posted an adorable little track from an adorable little uptown band called the Harlem Shakes. Turns out there ain't enough adorable in the Shakes alone to quell Harlem Shaker Todd's barrell of creative juices, so together with his friend Leah, they get together for an hour a week, and using a small studio and/or garage band, bang out a song. Once a week. And every song is about something that can fly. I think Said the Gramaphone posted something by them a bit ago, but for the MFR readers who really enjoyed the Shakes, be sure to check this out as well.

Being in Japan, I'm up to my ears in sweet and all, but that makes azuki look like a pile of salt by comparison. Once a week? Songs this sweet and satisfying? Like I keep saying, them kids got talent (check back tomorrow for further proof).

You can check out the Sea and the Gulls, a.k.a. Todd and Leah, and download many of their songs on their website, and add them on MySpace if you swing that way.

Todd's also got a solo project called Arms, and if you myspace him he'll totally send you a copy of his CD beacause he's a badass like that.
