Pop Musik
Karin Ström - Psykos (LFF Holiday Remix)
So some of you who know me, know I'm a sucker for pop music, especially electronic pop, and as such (thanks to Fluxblog) I have been addicted to Lo-Fi-Fnk since he first posted about them ages ago. My mate at Moshi Moshi Records sent me a copy of their new record, Boylife some time ago, but I didn't post anything about them because Flux pretty much has them well-covered, you know? So anyway, I was on the LFF website and saw they had news about remixing another Swedish artist, Karin Ström.
And over on her website, she's got the LFF remix available to download (with an alternate version too). Zing! Score! I don't have the slightest freaking clue what her deal is, what with her site being entirely in Swedish, ie: Biografi, Spelningar, Musik (ah ha!), and Bokning (my favorite). For all I know, she could be singing about drowning puppies, but sung like that, with the Lo-Fi-Fnk synths burbling and fahrting along, I'd still dance like a lunatic to it.
You can buy Ms Ström's EP, Sneda ögons, on iTunes (including the original version of the "Psykos" song). And I'll recommend you check out Lo-Fi-Fnk if you haven't yet - visit Moshi's page for Boylife - the record is released worldwide by them at the end of August (and yes, it has been out in Sweden for a bit already). It is synth-pop at its very best and I highly recommend it!
Happy weekend!
