Keep it simple

Marc Romboy vs Tommie Sunshine - Body Jack (Radio Slave Remix)

Just another wednesday for me, and I wish I was out riding my bike instead of sitting at a desk trying to get work done. Well, at least I've got music to keep me occupied.

Today, this is what I'll share with you. I've had this for a few days and have been waiting to post it, so here goes. Talk about heavyweights in their field: Marc Romboy, Tommie Sunshine, and Radio Slave together on a track!

All three of these characters, Romboy, Tommie Sunshine and Radio Slave have been DJs and producers for ages - Romboy has been involved in dance music for over a decade, and is now based in Berlin, where he also runs the Systematic Recordings label. Sunshine has been a DJ for ages, has produced a few things on his own, but is best known as a remixer and co-producer for Felix Da Housecat's two full-length albums. Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards (aka Rekid, who I posted here a month or so back), is another producer best known for his remixes, including his work for Tiga and Kylie Minogue. All in all, this should add up to dancefloor hotness.

It does. The original version of this track comes from Romboy's most recent album, Gemini, released by Systematic. It is heavy duty tech-house, made to freak out a dancefloor full of people - the bass is deep and buzzy, and the synths do a great job of twisting around themselves. Solid stuff.

Along these lines is a new double-CD mix by Romboy and Sunshine - each with a disc full of tech/house/electro jams - that is coming out on Systematic soon, so keep your eyes open for it. See our friends at Forced Exposure for the Body Jack single (which also features a DJ Delicious remix and an additional rework by Tommie Sunshine himself) and other Systematic releases, or if you prefer the downloadable flavor, you can pick it up on iTunes.

Enjoy, ya monsters.

Comments

once again, thanks Blair for posting this track and thanks to Systematic for providing it. this is great! to begin with it's all voice and I thought, oh no, too cheesy but then the bass and pulsing evil synths made me submit. do dancefloors full of normal people like this sort of thing? or would it just be me writhing away?

cheers
