Aw crap, I just spilled hot tea on my pants. And my white shirt. And ... all over the place. This is after getting only a few hours' sleep last night, because I couldn't sleep, for no apparent reason. What the hell is wrong with me?! I'm starting to think that I never recovered from having to go back to school in September, despite being a cubicle drone now. Those Staples commercials come on and I just kind of freeze and whimper.
Anyway, I should have known Brooklyn band Bishop Allen would remedy those late-summer blues. They've been putting out some fun EPs since the beginning of the year, and the July EP is available for order. July contains this song.

It's almost too adorable, right? But it's not too adorable; it's exactly as adorable as it needs to be. That's kind of how Bishop Allen works, and I'm not sure how they keep pulling it off.
I know I keep posting about this, but I really have no problem continuously promoting Bishop Allen, so you'll just have to bear with me. These EPs have been great, from Corazon (on January) to The Same Fire (from June), which I featured a couple weeks ago.
You can order July, and all the other EPs, from Bishop Allen's website.
And be sure to catch them live, especially you Boston folks - they'll be at the Middle East on the 22nd. (God, I miss the Middle East...)
