Call me whatever

The NaP (NickLbag and PHiXta, perhaps?) project has already been introduced on MFR, but I'm bringing them back for another taste. Other than the minimal MySpace profile (can I reiterate how much I hate MySpace?), there's still only tids and tads on this relatively new collaboration, but I've learned a bit more of their backstory.
NickLbag, a classically and Jazz trained pianist and producer from Los Angeles, produced, recorded, and performed underground House music from 1997-2003, topping off at 7 vinyl releases and one regional television commercial for Nissan. The birth of twin boys in 2003 put things on pause, until he met mixLPHiX, a.k.a. Nathaniel Epcot, the 6'6" ex-marching band drummer from Denver, who was in the market for a good keyboard player to handle the production to allow him to explore some interesting Hip-Hop ideas he was having. They had worked together before on a live Hip-Hop experiment in the mid-nineties, and currently bounce ideas back and forth across the Internet, using Sunday vocal/mixing sessions to tweak the tracks to both their liking.
The sound is as smooth, polished, and prodigal as ever (the house influence is readily apparent), and the music remains lyrically both rich and nimble, with PHiXta juggling vocal tricks and rhyme schemes around effortlessly. The best part - you can still get a whole album's worth of music for free, just go here! Enjoy!
