You've got a handle on that gun

your loving tiger

This song just isn't at all what I expected. Your Loving Tiger's record What Gives is a wonderfully weird little thing, made of Neutral Milk Hotel-esque non-sequiturs and crazy arrangements. It's also full of good songs, like this one:

Your Loving Tiger - The Long Arm of the Lamb.

I guess I just didn't expect the outright catchiness of this song, and I love when the chorus comes up, releasing all the pent-up energy from the verses. The band is from Minneapolis, and has What Gives and In Heat, a live record, under their belt. They play locally quite often, so if you live in the area, make sure to check them out. I have yet to see them live, but something tells me it's a unique experience.

You can get yourself a copy of What Gives by contacting the band through myspace.
