Pink Skull - Step Into My Orifice, Baby (DJ Mix)

You may remember Philadelphia's Pink Skull from when I posted about their recent Blast Yr Akk EP back in May - wild, psychedelic electro- and disco-influenced dance music. Really this stuff is right up my musical and DJing alley, so when the man behind the Skull (Julian G) told me about this new mix he'd whipped up, I was pretty excited. I got it from him a couple of weeks back, and have been meaning to put it up here for you all to marvel at.

I don't have the full track-listing, but there are bits of sound from Akira, French psychedelic pop-rock, some Brazilian tropicalia, "Ice Cream" by New Young Pony Club, a hot new jammie by Kaos, as well as some bits from new Pink Skull tracks. It is straight dope. Hit the Pink Skull website for some more goods and info, and hit the myspace page to hear some new tracks and a remix.

Now, for those of you in NYC, Pink Skull is appearing tonight at the Guggenheim Museum for their First Fridays, wherein the museum stays open late with music and a bar - I'm told he'll be doing a DJ set, alongside MFR faves Ratatat. Should be the hotness.

thanks everyone for making this available, it's a lot of fun and done with skill (and a computer?) - short, but makes its point. would be great for a bar, flowing yet changing. if by 'French psychedelic pop-rock' you mean the track that comes in just before 11 minutes, that's 'I Want More' by Can. made me check their very lurid (that's a compliment, I think) website and they have some niiiice music to listen to. Gong samples yet. cheers a>
