O E O E O

Oxford CollapseOxford Collapse - Please Visit Our National Parks.

This weekend was a whirlwind. I was on the east coast for about 30 hours, and now I'm pretty tired. It's ok though. It's a nice cloudy day and I've got some good music going. I like music that reminds of things without having actually heard it before. That whole familiar without being familiar thing. And the "oh-eee-oh--wee-ohh" chorus is just what I needed.

Oxford Collapse have had their ups and downs, but the new record is a decided "up" in their career. I've been listening a lot to their record. Or, I've been listening to their record a lot. Broken English be damned. I particularly like listening to the bass player getting all noodley in the background. They're doing some pretty interesting things back there. Great rhythm section here.

You can pick up the new record from our friends over at sub pop. Definitely recommended.

At any rate, I've clearly been ignoring my posting duties here at robots. I think it'll take me a minute to get back into stride. I'll be here at all week though, with some different stuff. I've been scouting around while I've been not posting. keep your eyes peeled.

This record is rockin', as is their last one, 'A Good Ground.'
