Hey guys, just a little heads up for you filmmaker types about a contest that Virgin Mobile is sponsoring called the Bleepin' Awesome Awards. Here's how it works: all you have to do is submit a short original video that captures a "transformation from normal to bleepin' awesome" on the contest page over on YouTube.

The contest is open from now to December 6th, and the winner gets a Virgin Mobile phone with loads of air-time, and a trip for two to NYC to see their original video on one of those mega-billboards in Times Square. On New Years eve. So that's a chance to have a million people, or whatever it is that crowds in there, see you and your friends being idiots. Dope.

Okay, so why am I writing about this? Because I'm one of the judges! Hilarious!

I'm totally psyched to see the videos people submit, since I already waste loads of time on YouTube, and love scouring it for funny, wacky shit as it is. So, go to the contest page, read the rules and get to work! The clock is ticking.

Understand that some people actually like this "electronic, techno crap" that you refer to so lovingly. Maybe you should give electronic music a more fair chance and then you'll be able to appreciate a lot of what is posted here. It's a forum for lovers of all kinds of music, electronic included, it just so happens that lately a lot of really good electronic music is being released so, voila.
