Posted by: j clicky clicky at November 28, 2006 8:05 PMI'm such a huge fan of this site. Maybe this is not the best place on the site to get this off my chest, but I'm about to explode. I discovered this site while surfing digg.com. Digg linked to an article in Entertainment Weekly or Rolling Stones or something which was available online. The article was about listed the 25 best music sites online. Pitchfork which I was and still am addicted to was snuggled up next to Music For Robots. Coincidentally my discovery of Music For Robots happened nearly the same day I watched Gramma's Boy for the first time (on DVD.) In the movie, the game theorist, genius, tool, and bad guy of the film tells people that they wouldn't understand techno as they don't have robot ears.
I love this site. The robots on this site have brought so much joy to my ears. I sleep with a smile on my face because of the overwhelming mind candy still sizzling in my ears.
For New Years, I wanted to see Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, but they sold out already (go figure.) I was thinking about it, seeing one of the robots dj would put a face to the passion and be the best Christmas present I could possibly give myself.
The only problem, I have no idea when and where you robots play! I've seen your nights listed on the site previously, but it is always Thursday or Friday which is far too late for me to react.
I study at Penn State University Park which leaves me 4 hours from New York and Philadelphia. If any of you guys are playing in NYC, Realadelphia, or the 'Burgh (Pittsburgh... sad that I have to explain) let me know early! Please. As Softlighties say on "Girl Kills Bear" instead of dancing with the frats "I'd rather DANCE, DANCE, DANCE" with my fellow robots.
Music For Robots, "you're like an army baby."
