One white line worth re-doing

Alias & Tarsier - Plane That Draws A White Line

They've been on here before, and they're baaaaaaack... Alias & Tarsier are dear personal favorites - they got me through the spring, they were there with me in Kumamoto this summer, they've seen me to work through countless bleary commutes. They're good stuff. Really, really nourishing music. The postal-service style collaboration features lovely, ethereal vocals on top of electro/acoustic production that rings true with the Anticon sound, while weaving in bits of Joga-era Björk production. You can read their complete bio (which has a lovely story behind it) and listen to more tracks over on their MySpace page. Did I mention I hate MySpace? It's true. I really, really do.

The duo released their full length, Brookland and Oaklyn last year, and followed it up with an EP of singles, remixes, and B-sides, called the Plane That Draws a White Line EP. Both are truly excellent, and you can grab both, in their entirety, for free on eMusic.

What more can I say? Highly, highly recommended.

I love them thanks to your earlier post and am glad to hear more. If the postal service really had anything to do with this collaboration, they should use some of this music in a TV ad or something--it must be one of the better things that big bureaucracy has done.

ahhh, is it sloppy sweet or secretly tough clever sweet? the second, I'd say. whatever, play this in a drifty set outdoors on a summer evening or by the fire on a winter night and people will love it ... thanks all for sharing, a>
