I want to begin again

bishop allen

It's been a while since I posted about Bishop Allen - since October, in fact - so I thought I'd give an update on their EP-a-month project.

Since January 2006, the band has put out an EP every month, excluding August, when they released a full-length live album. The Brooklyn-based Bishop Allen only has one other record under their belt - the fantastic Charm School - so the endeavor was as audacious as it sounded. The results have been pretty good overall; there were a couple clunkers here and there, but the series brought us songs like "Corazon" (from January) and the fantastic "Click Click Click Click" (from July).

Now the EPs come to a close, and the below track comes from December.

Bishop Allen - Calendar.

I haven't heard the record myself, but based on the other entries, I have no reason to doubt its awesomeness. The band is also on tour, so be sure to check them out when they come to your city. (They're finally coming to Minneapolis next month!)

And pick up any of the Bishop Allen records at their store.
