Rata tat tat

Memphis Bleek - Alright (Ratatat Remix)

So, if you've been wondering what those Ratatat boys have been up to lately, besides preparing for their extensive upcoming tours of the US (March 14th - April 18th) and the UK (April 21st-26th), I'm happy to present another sick slice of their hip-hop remix mastery.

This comes from the next full length mixtape that they have been working on, in between finishing last year's Classics album, and the different legs of the tours they have been doing to support the record. I'm a big fan of theirs, and their first hip-hop mixtape was ridiculous: their signature slick drum programming, buzzing bass and synths, paired with the best acapellas you can find.

Vol. II looks to be as good as, if not even better than, the first one, so be sure to you get your hands on it when they make it available. I'm assuming it will be a tour-only item, but I don't know for sure yet. Check their Myspace page for more tour info and news.

Solid.

I've been quite excited to see this recent deluge of Vol2 Remixes into blogland. All I've heard, to date, is simply banging.

I've heard 4 of the songs off VOL. II

1.) The Notorious B.I.G. - Party and Bullshit
2.) Z-Ro, Devin the Dude & Juvenile - The Mule
3.) Memphis Bleek - Alright
4.) Slim Thug, Bun B& T.I. - 3Kings / "9 Beats Demo #6"

& they are all killer!
Google em. I'm sure u can find all 4 of em
(1 on gorillavsbear, 2 on ratatat myspsce & 1 here)
