He laughed, and then he answered

cocorosie

I think it's safe to say I've never heard anything quite like Cocorosie. It's kind of like hip-hop, folk, and pop, all mixed up in a big bowl and put in the oven for an hour.

Cocorosie - Rainbowarriors.

This is from the band's third album, The Adventures Of Ghosthorse And Stillborn, due out April 10 on Touch & Go. "Rainbowarriors" is strangely comforting, full of odd noises but a consistent, driving beat.

That beat gets me every time.

You can pre-order Ghosthorse And Stillborn from the usual places, including Amazon and Insound.

Talent...I've always loved their unique style...its classy compacted blissy trunk music that can be played for a small gathering or just simply headphone listening. Good job. Thanks for posting.

the first time i saw them, it was deep...felt like they were tapping into something instinctual and holy, one of those shows that changes your life (at least, temporarily)...often Sierra would turn away from the audience, but I was in a position to see her face even then, and she was so into being with her "band" (some gorgeous b-box kid) and her sister, and everything felt so genuine...childlike, but also sexy...but the second show was kind of a let down...maybe i was expecting too much after the first?
