Human skin can be hard to live in

seabear

I know, Monday mornings are hard. You've still got empty PBR bottles - or whatever you kids are drinking these days - strewn about your living room, and that coffee isn't strong enough to explain that new tattoo on your thigh. I mean, what did you do this weekend?!

We at Music (For Robots) would like to ease you into the week. Conventional wisdom tells us we need to wake up with a smack in the face, but I for one do better with a midtempo pop song with little bells.

Seabear - I Sing I Swim.

Seabear is from Reykjavik, and this song comes from their album The Ghost That Carried Us Away on Morr Music.

The band is primarily Sindri Már Sigfússon, along with some other players. The record is a typically enjoyable release from Morr, a label that just can't do wrong, in my book. Their discs are dynamic, with no more instruments than are necessary. Every band on their roster - which includes Radical Face, The Go Find, Styrofoam, and Lali Puna - has done some great work.

You can buy The Ghost That Carried Us Away here.
