Boogaloo dudes, carry the news

Bands just keep popping up, at a rate no reasonable person could possibly keep up with. And that, of course, is a good thing, especially in a city like Minneapolis, where the arts are alive and well, and we'd like it to stay that way. It's in this band-a-second (and sub-zero) climate (heyo!) that Young Dudes have emerged.
They've actually been around for four years, but they just released their first record. I don't know why that is, but it doesn't matter. These Young Dudes from Minnesota have a self-titled album, and it's fun as hell. It's also only available on vinyl, but if you order the record, you get free mp3s. So everybody wins.
Young Dudes consists of Zach Wilson on bass, Matt Torbinson on vocals and guitar, Dustin Miller on guitar, and Katelyn Farstad on drums. Farstad also happens to be the drummer of my favorite Twin Cities band, Mouthful of Bees. That alone should make you curious about this record. (Here's their song "The Now.")
Order Young Dudes from the nice folks at Afternoon Records.
