As many of you know, this particular robot has been fairly obsessed with the disco for some time now. One of the more interesting places on the web for obscure disco, edits and long out-of-print versions of songs is Lovefingers, run by "A Laurel Canyon intelli-stoner (think Lebowski meets Klaus Schulze) recently uprooted to NYC." Perfecto.
Well, our friends at RVNG (who so concisely describe the bearded mastermind behind Lovefingers above) have teamed up with Lovefingers for the release of their latest disco-edits series RVNG of the Nrds, making this one Vol. 4. Previously the RVNG of the Nrds series has seen entries by Tim Sweeney, Betty Botox, and Mock and Toof, all of which are winners, and if you didn't buy a copy when they came out you're out of luck. Oh yeah, and super-rad dood Dave P, of Fixed, is part of the RVNG crew, so you know you can expect the best of the best when he is involved.
You can buy RVNG of the Nrds Vol. 4 direct from the RVNG Store now, and it should be in finer record shops, like the Turntable Lab, next week. As with the previous 12"s in the series, this one is limited to around 1000 copies, so act quickly if you want a piece of the action for yourself. Highly recommended.
