Ghosts live

Jukebox the Ghost - Good Day (Andrew Maury Remix).

Last time I wrote about these guys they were known as the Sunday Mail. But damn if that wasn't two years ago.

They've still been up to their old tricks, which if you remember, were tricks I dug, like explosive performances (which can be tough when you're sitting at a piano!), killer melodic hooks and a playful liveliness combined with all out rocking. According to the band, their first full-length "Let Live and Let Ghosts" will be coming out "soon."

This track is "Good Day", remixed by Andrew Maury, who also recently did a Ra Ra Riot remix. Perhaps not coincidentally, Jukebox the Ghost will be playing with Ra Ra Riot tonight at DC's Rock and Roll Hotel and Saturday night at Union Hall in Brooklyn. Be warned though New Yorkers, the Union Hall show is "sold out", although the site says a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

DC show will also feature Music for Robots veterans These United States who recently returned from conquering Europe, have got some great new tracks up and are up to all sorts of cool things.

When I saw 'Vocoder' I was a little put off, but it actually sounds tasteful.
