Well I waited for you baby and you never came through

Posting a track like this makes me feel like a first-class chump. Not because it isn't good - on the contrary, this is top-notch Twin Cities pop music - but because this song almost embarrassingly has my number. As if it talked to all my friends, found out exactly what I like, and told me what I wanted to hear.
The Battle Royale are on Afternoon Records. I might feel strange posting so many tracks from Afternoon if the quality wasn't so high. Their roster, which includes Mouthful of Bees, Haley Bonar, and We All Have Hooks For Hands, is impressive.
So, like I said, this band has my number. Their new record Wake Up, Thunderbabe has an electronic a-side and an acoustic b-side. This track is catchy as hell, but the band is confident enough not to play its ultra-melodic chorus until halfway through. That, dear readers, takes balls.
You can buy Wake Up, Thunderbabe, which came out yesterday, from Afternoon Records.
