Birds are flying, birds are singing

ghost in the water

It's been a good couple months for Twin Cities music. Adding to the pile is the new record from Ghost In The Water, the husband-and-wife duo of Nathan and Mandy Tensen-Woolery. They used to be called Fitzgerald, back in their more folk-oriented days.

Ghost In The Water - Cardinal Red.

It's amazing to me how these guys changed their sound so much, yet the feel of their music is the same. There's a sweet melody with a thin layer of dischord - just enough of each to balance out completely. These two know how to write a song.

Pick up their first record as Ghost In The Water, Tooth here when it comes out on April 8. It's got this track, as well as my favorite, "I'm Not Afraid Of Falling."

They also have a new single out, and you can download it for free, with the band's blessing, right here.
