No Age Hat + Esau 7" giveaway


Welcome to Monday here at Robots. While I sit down and go through this week's batch of music, I'm going to let you guys fight over a hat + 7" that we've got. What bums me out the most is that I don't actually get to keep them. This is for two reasons:

1. this hat is the final tipping point, bringing the '90s fully back. No Age wins again.

2. I really love Esau Mwamwaya's music, so I'd love to have this record.

The Fader commissioned the No Age hat, and the 7" is part of their FADER/Southern Comfort series. I've got a couple of these Fader 7"s from before, and they're all pretty awesome. There was that one with Jim James on it, and then one with the Black Lips that was wicked.

This one's track listing looks like this:

Side A: Umzabalazo - Blk Jks
Side B: Chilombo - Esau Mwamwaya

I don't know who BLK JKs are, but I'm sure it's worth a listen.

So, why don't you go ahead and email me with the subject line "hat music," and I'll pick a winner at random. Be sure to include hat size in your email, so I don't send too small a hat for your big melon. Congrats to TJ for the win. I'll be notifying you today.

Question: When is it ethical to try and get free stuff from MFR after winning a contest?

I think I'll let some other people win a few times....

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Blk Jks are an African band. Sort of Psychidelic stuff.

You're more than welcome to enter again, Sky, since we don't make restrictions like that. But since I pick completely at random, there's not much guarantee that you'll win again.
