Ghosts again

The Black Ghosts - Repetition (Diplo Remix)
Our friends The Black Ghosts (former Simian front-man Simon Lord and former Wiseguy Theo Keating) have been hard at work on their full-length self-titled album, which comes out next month. They've also been playing a lot of shows, and will be back here in NYC in mid-July, which I'm really excited about - see their myspace page for tour details.
Today, we were fortunate enough to have been given this remix of "The Repetition Kills You" by Diplo, and I'm really into this version of the song. It doesn't sound much like a typical Diplo reworking, with nary a Baile Funk rhythm here - not that I don't like that style, but it is great to hear something totally different from him. The song definitely kicks it though - it has got this sluggish, slightly druggy vibe to it, and there is a bunch of low-end bass bubbling under there that I can't quite hear through my speakers at my desk - thus I'm excited to try it out on a club sound system.
Expect the album, The Black Ghosts, on July 7th in the UK, via Southern Fried, with a US release to follow (I hope) soon. ED: word from their US label, IAMSOUND, says the record is out on this side of the pond on July 8th - you can pre-order it right here.
Enjoy!
