Back to the Field(s)

Fields - Worst Love

Here's a quick and easy one. I wrote about the London/Reykjavik band Fields back in the fall of 2006 when their EP, 7 From The Village, first washed ashore in the US.

Well apparently they've been spending some time in the studio lately, at work on their second album, and they are now letting people hear the progress they're making. This song sounds great - more of their awesome vocal harmonies, more great big sounding production - I love the feel of this one, and the way it builds up some nice tension and release over the length of the song. Just really solid stuff. You can hear more a couple more songs in demo form on their Myspace page too.

And I guess they're also playing shows here and there in the UK - they were just at one of the big summer festivals (Latitude? There are so many over there) - so if you're on that side of the pond, try to check them out.

What a great song! I can't wait for their new album.
